One of my favorite things about heading into national parks and wildlife areas is spotting wildlife…in the wild. In the Rocky Mountains, elk is a common sight. In places like Yellowstone, bison are also fairly common. What's more rare are bear and moose sightings, and also wolf sightings.
On our trip to Yellowstone, we saw bison and elk, and we also saw a coyote.
Our first bison sighting in the park
But then we saw several more...
Can you spot some baby bison in this herd?
I swear this bison is saying "wasssup?"
This elk was showing off his good side…lol.
Hi Mr. Coyote!
And…[insert drumroll]...as we were leaving Sunday morning (while we were technically in the Tetons park) we got treated to seeing a brown bear! We knew we had stumbled upon something big, given the major traffic jam it caused!
Well, hello there bear!
