Video update

1) Emma has been progressing on her sounds and babbling a lot in the past week or two.  She does lots of lip trills and raspberry sounds and lots of other babbling (and hand on the mouth "bah bah bah" sounds). Here is a video of a new lip smack sound she started making about a week ago and for the next few days after she figured out how to do it, was her favorite sound to make!  I love how it accentuates her cheeks when she does it! :)

2) It's been awhile since Evan's been into dancing, but lately it's back.  He has wanted us to play music at night before bed again lately and has given us a spectacular display of new dance moves.  Here is a short clip to give you a sense of the action.

3) Having two kids has been a challenge and yet a lot of fun.  Especially now that they can play together.  Emma absolutely loves the crawling tunnel (and she is amazingly fast at crawling through it!), and Evan loves to play with her in it too (I just hope they don't end up head-to-head too hard in it one of these days).  This video also showcases how Emma's started some hands and knees crawling, although she still reverts to army crawling when she wants to move fast.
Evan is really into copy catting these days…especially with Emma. He often will army crawl around the floor with her, or lay on the floor and play with something the same way she's laying or playing with something.  And in this video you can clearly hear him copy me…which is one other feature that I find super cute in this clip (his innocent little boy high-pitched voice).  And the end of the video is something I see a lot…he just wants to be near her.  He kisses her and gets in her face a lot (almost to a fault).  I have already heard myself saying on numerous occasions the infamous "keep your hands to yourself" and other random things like "don't put your finger in her mouth" or "don't push your head so hard into her back" or "stop jumping near her head".  In fact, a really random/funny thing that came out of my mouth the other day was "did you put your mouth on her butt?".  The evidence was in the brown mark on her pants and his half missing Oreo cookie moustache.  Emma is a good trooper for most of it, and I think in general she likes the interactive play with her brother, but he can be rough, so we definitely have to keep our eyes on them.
