We recently got a few videos of some of Evan's cute behavior that I wanted to share.
Our living room (Evan's discotehque)
Evan seems to have enjoyed dancing since he was very young (see his 8-month update post), however back then we had to hold him up and let him bounce to the beat. Now that he's a cruiser, he can hold onto whatever piece of furniture helps him keep his balance while he wildly bounces to the rhythm. What I love is that lately he even will put one arm in the air (the other carefully holding on for balance) while he bounces, like he's really getting into it. Sometimes he'll also bounce while up on his knees or sitting on the floor. However, he doesn't do this for just any kind of music, his absolute favorite sounds are the really loud, bass thumping, and sometimes obnoxious beats. Dance hall mixes are sure to please him, but even some of John's heavy metal beats that have a strong repetitive bit will get Evan hopping.
My apologies that this video starts out so dark (opening the shades helped, but still it's not great), but I think you can make out his little figure bouncing to the beats from just the other night.

Dish towel mopping
Lately Evan's taken quite an interest in removing the dish towel that hangs on our cupboard towel rod (just below the kitchen sink). This is my go-to towel to dry my hands after washing up, and it's always gone these days! Even when I put a fresh out one, he'll grab it and play with it on the floor. His favorite thing to do (with most of his toys in fact) is push them along the floor. Thus, while the help mopping is nice in theory, it makes a perfectly clean and fresh dish towel unusable until it's washed. So now we've started not replacing it since we know he'll just come snag it and we're trying to keep a clean one on top of the counter, but it is still hard to break my habit of reaching for the towel below the sink!
