The pre-hunt egg/snack scatter and then Evan gathering his first few eggs.

Then Evan found one egg and had some fun playing with it before tossing it in his basket.
We were very lucky that the weather on Easter Sunday was so beautiful. It wasn't too hot or cold, the skies were cloudless and blue, and it wasn't even windy! Perfect for spending time outside, so after Evan's nap (which is when the Easter bunny visited our home), Evan and I took a walk while we waited for John to get home from work.

Out on our walk...
What was waiting for Evan back home...
Then after John got home, Evan came inside and immediately found his gifts from the Easter bunny on the couch. He was initially drawn to the Easter eggs (he kept saying "oohhh, oohhh") until he spotted the broom. Then he said "seep" (sweep) and got very excited to start trying out his own broom. He also liked getting his own flashlight (to make shadows!). Once we asked him if he wanted to go outside to see what was in the backyard, all his new gifts were yesterday's news! He loves going outside! He did a good job picking up the eggs and putting them in the basket, and he even told John "thank you" after putting his eggs in the basket that John was following him around holding. However, after about 10 eggs, he was more interested in exploring the big backyard that he didn't know we had! I can't wait for the nice weather this spring and summer for him to be able to play outside more!
When we went inside, it was time for John to hunt for all the little chocolate eggs the Easter bunny had hid in our house (all 164 of them!). John's had a few years practice hunting for chocolate Easter eggs, so he did pretty well finding them all. :)
He really just wanted to put the plastic eggs in his mouth!
We finished the holiday with roast lamb and veggies dinner. John did a great job replicating his mum's recipe for her roast lamb and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Evan has also really come to show us that he loves lamb! And of course we all had another cupcake for dessert. Great day!

I love his reaction when you hear the back door open, he's so excited! That's adorable!
In some of those stroller pictures, he really looks a lot like you!
