A new level of communication

Evan's communication skills are really blossoming before my eyes.  Besides learning to communicate and say a few new words, he's also showcased that he's developing foreign language skills!

1) Evan's become so talkative in the past week.  He's been saying a variety of words and sounds over the past several months, but his talkativeness has increased so much lately.  His voice is so cute and has so many adorable intonations.  The problem is that we can't make much English out of it at all, but we pretend we can.  Here's an example for illustration purposes:

Evan: something along the lines of "deh googli anyi da"

Us: "Really honey?  That's so cool!"

2) "Ball" is a favorite new word right now (sounds like baow with a lot of force and emphasis when saying it).  He uses it to refer to the big exercise ball, which is why I think he gets so excited and says it so strongly as he goes over to push the big ball around.  And he also uses it with his smaller balls, which he loves to throw around, but I'm thinking we need to start teaching him not to throw in the house before we have an accident.

3) Who ever thought poo poo could be so cute?  Evan now says this word, and he does so in a very high and soft voice (imagine the most angelic voice you can).  It really does make it seem like such a nice thing rather than the stinker it really is.  What's more is that on Saturday morning he said it and then went to get the wipes and changing pad.  This is a HUGE stride forward in communication if you ask me!  I hope this keeps up, because if he starts to put two and two together that he needs a diaper change and finds a way to communicate it to us, it makes me hope that potty training isn't too much farther down the road!
